My Flex Health FAQ

Flex Home Care

How do I get a home care package?

All Perth home care services require you to see your GP for a referral to have an Aged Care Assessment Team (ACAT) visit you in your home. They will assess the level of home care support required. See here for more information.

What services are provided under a home care package?

Perth home care services can vary, as every service provider in the community offers a different range of services. Please check providers to decide whether they provide services you may need such as nursing, allied health or gardening.

What fees do I pay if I have a home care package?

Service providers charge fees to cover administration costs and some providers charge an exit fee if you decide to change providers. These fees are taken out of your home care package. For more information on Perth home care packages, click here.

Can I change providers if I have a home care package?

Recipients of a home care package can change providers if they wish; notify your existing provider of your cessation date, contact My Aged Care to advise the change of providers and contact the new service provider with the proposed date to commence services.

How do I get home care assistance if I have a DVA gold card?

See your GP for a referral; a nurse will visit and assess you in your own home to decide the services you require.
