What type of respite do you provide?
Sometimes a carer needs to have a short regular break. In home respite can provide a few hours per week or a longer break less often, it is up to you and the type of funding you have available. We have dedicated support workers qualified to meet your needs. If you require overnight respite we can place a support worker for an hourly rate.
What is an ACAT?
An Aged Care Assessment Team (ACAT) assess people over the age of 65 in their own home to determine the level of care required for them to remain living in their own home. People who are eligible for assistance will receive government funding for services, this funding is called a Home Care Package.
What services can I get with a home care package?
You determine the services you need; we work within your budget depending on the level of package for which you are approved. Your home care package can also be used to purchase equipment and social outings associated with your care to remain as independent as possible.
What are your fees with a home care package?
We have an exceptionally low weekly administration fee only. There are no extra review or case management fees and if you choose to change to another provider, we do not charge an exit fee.
How soon can I receive services?
Once we have discussed the type of services you require, how often, the day and time we can place services within 48 hours in some instances. Usually if funding is provided by a government agency we need up to a week to place the schedule.
