What is NDIS?
NDIS is a Government Scheme that provides funding to individuals with a significant and permanent disability and are aged under 65. The NDIS is designed to help people with a disability get the support they need to improve their skills and independence for a better life. If you are over 65 with a disability you will be eligible for different Commonwealth support.
WA NDIS has been operating under the State Legislation under provisions in the NDIA Act 2013 and is in the process of rolling out under the National NDIS Scheme . The NDIA (National Disability Insurance Agency) is an independent statutory agency that will role out the NDIS National Scheme.
The NDIS is not linked to the Disability Support Pension.
