AGED CARE COURSES: CHC33015 CERT III INDIVIDUAL SUPPORT

Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing)
Providing a supportive environment and empowering them promotes quality of life for the elderly clients.
The course provides training to those looking to work in residential aged care facilities. The qualification reflects role of workers in residential aged care setting, following individualised plan for person centred care to clients who require physical and emotional support due to ageing or increasing complex needs, by assisting them with their activities of daily living, health and wellbeing.
It involves theory and practical training where there will be learning and assessment in the workplace where learners will be acquiring knowledge through the delivery of skills in areas relating to personal care, assisting people to maintain their independence and wellbeing and providing support services to clients.
Duration: Complete the course in only 10 weeks when studied full time, 2 days a week in class. (6 weeks in class then 4 weeks work experience which we organise)

Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing and Home and Community)
Personal care workers make a positive impact to the lives of older people.
The course provides training to workers looking to work in residential aged care facilities and/or community homes or day care centres. It will equip you with skills and knowledge needed to gain employment within the home care industry.
It involves theory and practical training where you will be learning to empower your clients and support to people who may require assistance due to ageing in the community or are unable to care for themselves.
Duration: Complete the course in only 10 weeks when studied full time, 2 days a week in class. (6 weeks in class then 4 week works experience which we organise)

Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability)
Improving someone’s quality of life is always a rewarding feeling. People with disabilities are in need of our help the most in the community.
This course involves theory and practical training where it teaches you to empower individuals with disability and sustaining their dignity and self-esteem and provides training to workers looking to work in disability community group homes, supported accommodation or individuals’ homes.
You will develop skills to support individuals with disability through independence and well-being, effective communication and supporting the diversity of individuals here in Australia.
Duration: Complete the course in only 11 weeks when studied full time, 2 days a week in class (8 weeks in class then 3 weeks work experience which we organise)

There are no pre-entry study or qualification requirements for this certificate in aged care, but to be eligible you must:
- Possess sufficient English language, literacy and numeracy skills;
- Provide a copy of your passport or photo identification;
- Provide a current National Police Clearance; and
- Provide a unique student identifier (USI).

These costs are non government funded and include all the learning and assessments materials that you require to complete the course.
DURATION, LEARNING METHOD AND ASSESSMENT
Duration: All My Flex Training courses can be completed at a pace to suit the student, depending on their goals and previous study and/or work. Some students have completed the course in as little as 10 weeks and others have done it at their own pace and taken up to a year.
Learning method: My Flex Training recognises that only a certain percentage of real learning can take place in a classroom, which is why we apply a blended delivery model that includes face-to-face workshops, practical hands-on training in our unique simulated care centre and self-directed study. Additionally, we provide more than the minimum 120 hours of work experience (typically 160 hours) to ensure you have real learning in the workplace and improve your employment opportunities.
Assessment: To ensure your competency, we assess you via a combination of in-class practical and written assessments, post course assignments and an on-the-job assessment by a My Flex Training Trainer/Assessor.
Plus: 160 hours of practical work placement
