PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT MODULE LIST

Vocational education opens opportunities with the knowledge and training it takes to succeed.

The My Flex Training Professional Development Module List is new to the market in 2022. Solutions designed to meet industry and training requirements of a rapidly expanding care service industry. The individual modules allow you to mix and match to suit your organisation’s needs.

Individual support service providers require the following from their workforce:

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Initiative to work independently
  • Demonstrated awareness of aged, community and health issues

A Support Worker must be able to do the following:

  • Support clients with complex health and clinical needs in all areas of their daily life

Responsibilities include and are not limited to:

  • Personal care
  • Medication administration
  • Mealtime management
  • Mobility assistance

The My Flex Training Package List has been designed by individuals who are personally connected with the care service industry who understand first-hand the requirements for trained support staff.

The training price is calculated on a minimum of 8 participants per package. The training is priced based on the duration of modules delivered.

The modules are listed under general headings such as Elimination, Nutrition etc. You may pick any modules to put together for your own course. Some modules are theory only and you can then decide to add a practical component to that or conduct your own practical in your workplace.

For example: You might like to combine the following into a 6 hour course

  • Manual Handling theory
  • Manual Handling for Domestic workers and
  • Microfibre cleaning

Your staff will be provided with a Certificate of Attendance. For the practical modules, we will make a determination based on the participant’s performance in class and note on the attendance list if we consider the participant requires further training. We can forward the attendance list to you for your records.

Please note: My Flex Training Professional Development provides education, however competency is determined by the participant’s own workplace requirements. It is the responsibility of the organisation to assess the competence of their employees.
